Come as a flapper or come as you are,

Dress as a gangster or silent screen star.

It’s going to be fun no matter the dress,

Just bring yourself and we’ll do the rest!

Take a step back in time and enjoy one of the Savannah Food & Wine Festival’s newest events, the Secret Savannah Speakeasy! Show up to this 1920’s-themed event, presented by PublixEat It and Like It, Savannah Morning News, Savannah Magazine, Cheney Brothers and Do Savannah, on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in a secret location at the Georgia State Railroad Museum. The exact whereabouts will only be made known upon arrival so make sure you have your “Golden Ticket” ready.

Living up to its name, the Secret Savannah Speakeasy will evoke the underground social club or “speakeasy,” reminiscent of Savannah’s prohibition heydays. This event is the festival’s opportunity to showcase all things uniquely Savannah such as local talent, culinary products, small-plate tastings and local craft spirits. Participating restaurants include Tybee Island Fish Camp, The Florence, Elizabeth on 37th, Circa 1875, Noble Fare, The Wyld Dock Bar and Rue de Jean.

Get into the spirit of the speakeasy golden age and grab your best flapper fringe, zoot suit and Fedora. If you need more incentive, get dolled up in your best prohibition-era attire for the chance to win a “2016 Savannah Food & Wine Festival Weekend Package for Two.”

It’ll be the bees knees!
