Savannah Food & Wine Festival is excited to announce Scott Crawford as the final chef for the 2015 Celebrity Chef Tour. Crawford will be joining Jonathan Waxman, Tory McPhail and Anthony Lamas for the Celebrity Chef Tour.
The Celebrity Chef Tour is a unique dining experience that brings together James Beard Foundation nominated and award – winning chefs, world – renowned winemakers and beverage experts to create a multi-course, interactive dinner. Another special aspect of the Celebrity Chef Tour is local chefs and culinary students cook alongside these award – winning chefs.

Scott Crawford is a three – time James Beard Foundation semi – finalist for “Best Chef: Southeast.” He has won the Forbes five star award three times since 2006. Crawford owns Standard Foods (Raleigh), a modernized southern comfort restaurant and grocery store, and plans to open his second restaurant, Nash Tavern (Raleigh), in 2016.
Crawford’s passion and innovation of modern, southern cuisine is reflected in his food.
James Beard Foundation award – winner, Jonathan Waxman is chef and owner of Barbuto (NYC), Adele’s and Bajo Sexto (Nashville), and Montecito (Toronto). Waxman participated in two seasons of Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters,” was founding partner of Nashville’s Music City Food + Wine Festival and has two published cookbooks, A Great American Cook and Italian, My Way.
Waxman is famous for his roasted chicken and salsa verde recipe.
Tory McPhail is the executive chef of the historic Commander’s Palace (New Orleans). He has appeared as a guest judge on Bravo’s “Top Chef,” NBC’s “Today,” and CBS’s “Early Show.” The James Beard Foundation awarded “Best Chef: South” to McPhail and in 2013 The Daily Mail named him one of the best chefs in the country.
McPhail is nationally recognized for adding bold, Creole flavors to classic dishes.
If you watch the Food Network then you may recognize Anthony Lamas. Lamas is the chef and owner of, the popular restaurant, Seviche (Louisville). He was a semi – finalist for the James Beard Foundation’s “Best Chef: Southeast” award in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Lamas has appeared on several Food Network shows and was in the Savannah Food & Wine Festival for the past two years, along with various other food and wine festivals around the country.
Lamas in known for practicing the “farm to table” philosophy before it became popular.
